Heather week 34&35 (cuz I'm a little busy)

Ok yes I have TOTALLY fallen behind on project Heather posting!! I have still been taking weekly pic's of the dear sweet girl, but I'm finding it just a touch hard to get a blog post done!!
Spring has sprung here at Tres Birds central.. and I'm one busy lady!! (which is always good!)

Enough about moi..

Heather is amazing, and she is doing amazing. She has been laying in a hospital bed for like 85 days growing babes.. and has only just started to feel a little frustrated and uncomfortable..poor dear. The good news??

Babes are scheduled to arrive next Monday (22nd)!! Oh how excited I am to meet them!! Everyone is in a little bit of shock at how long Heather has lasted.. She was admitted at the end of December, they were just hoping and praying she would last a few more weeks.. wow!!

Soon we can stop posting pic's of wee babes in utero and post some pic's of the wee little celeb's themselves!!

As usual Heather is so stinking beautiful and is just a joy to photograph and visit with.. you know I'm going to miss our little weekly photog sessions (sniff sniff). Now she won't be able to get rid of me..ha!!

Project Heather Week 33 1/2...

Sixty seven days..and counting. That is how many days Heather had been in the hospital when I took these latest shots..It will be 70 days by the time most of you read this..can I just say..

WHAT AN AMAZING MOMMY!!!

Seriously, she continues to have the most inspiring attitude (ok except when you talk to her about the food..but really 70 days of hospital food..yuck!!).
She is doing what needs to be done to deliver healthy babes..and it seems to be working wonderfully.

I just have to give a quick shout out to her hubby, Mother-in-Law, sister's in law's, and various Aunts, cousins, friends ect..that have faithfully visited and done so much. Heather and her hubby Chad have a 2 year old that obviously needs taking care of..such a supportive family..they are so very blessed.

Heather has been having contractions off and on for the past week or so..who knows maybe soon we will get to see pic's of those babes!! Can't wait!!!

Heather week #31

So I guess you are not allowed to snap pictures of the ultra-sound..bummer:( Something about liability and all..cuz I'm gonna sue them..for something..I'm just not sure yet.
The plus side?? I was able to sit and watch the ultra-sound. Let me just say, watching two wee babes on the screen in-utero sure brought back some memories...made me a little teary.

How is Heather doing?? Awesome..just look at how much those babes have grown:)

Heather week #30

Heather needed a little pampering last week.

It's a tough business growing two babies and all.

I'm wondering if she is starting to feel like she always has this crazy lady with a camera following her around..

Next we are doing the ultra-sound..is it weird that I'm excited for it??

Heather week #29

Well because I bet a few of you are wondering..

"Every time I go to your blog, I see a pregnant tummy looking back at me."

(ok really someone said that to me last week..hahahaha)

Of course then I added..

"Yes, but at least it is a beautiful and tastefully photographed naked belly looking back at you."

(Not my exact words..but you get the gist)

So this week in addition to Heather's petite belly, I'm going to tell you about a few things that go on in her room..

Heather's sister's-in-law (how sweet are they??) made this very fun growth cart shortly after she arrived. It gives her something to look forward to everyday and she can chart her progress..

Here is the main info board..just in case she wakes up and forgets her name..

Of course all the Mom's in the house will recognize this device..the heartbeat monitor. Finding two babies heart beats can be a little tricky..

Cutie..

And some belly lovin:)

Heather week #28

When I called Heather yesterday she'd had a discouraging week. Her ultra-sound on Tuesday revealed her cervix is even shorter than when she was admitted about 5 weeks ago. She also strained some muscles in her belly, which is super painful.

Bright side? Babes are doing well!! Very well! Still growing, and staying put..which is the goal.

This week say a little prayer for Heather. 5 weeks in the hospital with as many as 11 more to go might just seem a tad overwhelming. Bad days..even bad weeks are allowed! BUT for the record I've hardly seen the bad days with this one!! She remains so upbeat, so positive, I'm just amazed.

Quick side note..when I was almost 30 weeks pregnant years ago with my twin babes..I DID NOT look this good!! Seriously!! What a beauty.
She wears motherhood well.

Project Heather

This dear sweet girl is very busy..she is busy growing twin babies in her petite belly:) She is not due until April but was hospitalized right before Christmas..the Dr's have not said a word about her returning home (until the babies are safely born)...so this means she has a little bit of a hospital stay ahead of her..all for the sake of the precious life she has growing inside her belly.

What an inspirational Momma!

A few weeks ago as we were chatting, we came up with the great idea of capturing her weekly growth on camera..she wanted something to look back on as well as a way to chart her progress.. thus begun Project Heather.

So the question is how does one take flattering, artistic pictures when your beautiful subject cannot sit up for more than about 5 minutes and you are in a hospital room with one tiny little window?? The answer is..very quickly!! Luckily she is a very willing subject who is just as sweet as can be, sure makes it easy on me!

I'm hoping to post pictures every week, along with the culmination of the birth. It's always such an honor to be included in a another woman's journey, please join me in Heathers.
